PASTORAL CARE

The educational psychology department of the school, directed by Maravillas Amorós (m.amoros@newtoncollege.es), monitors our students during their adaptation process and contributes to their assessment in the different stages they pass through. The department also guides them through any difficulties they may encounter during their school education, and is available for all students and families that require their services.

When a student does not reach the set goals, the necessary tests will be carried out with a case study to prepare specific plans of action and guidance for the teacher, student and parents.

It is very important that parents keep the school informed of all relevant details that may help us to understand the reasons for any problems that may arise with our children, and thereby help in their child’s education.

The department also organises talks with representatives from different universities to offer professional guidance to Baccalaureate students. It is also directly responsible for the school’s Special Needs department, which works with students who have learning difficulties.
